£25.00 per session

Swindon College are looking for Life Models to pose for our enthusiastic Further and Higher education art students. Whether you have modelled before or are seeking a new experience, this is a great chance to get involved in our creative art department.

Drawing from the figure is a classic, traditional art skill and weekly classes are held for our students to learn and improve drawing techniques, whilst building their portfolios. This role requires you to pose unclothed in a range of standing/sitting positions for students to complete drawings.

All sessions are taught by a College Lecturer in closed private studios. Modelling experience is not essential but a mature and professional attitude and an ability to take direction for short and long poses is necessary.

We are seeking to appoint a varied range of models to enhance the student experience and welcome applications from people from all ages and walks of life.

Our classes take place on a Thursday morning, or Thursday evening, and are two hours long with between 5 and 18 students. We will of course ensure regular breaks so you are comfortable.

In this role you’ll:

• Pose unclothed in dynamic poses for our art students,

• Respond confidently to requests for different poses, and

• Have the ability to pose for a set duration in one stance standing or seated.

 Closing date: 24th February 2020

An Application Form must be submitted if you wish to be considered for this post. Please note this vacancy may close sooner if sufficient applications have been received so please apply as soon as possible.

Swindon College is committed to embedding a culture which values diversity and ensures equality of opportunity. We take our safeguarding responsibilities seriously and promote the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff, applicants and customers to share this commitment.

This role is likely to involve working with under 18’s and/or vulnerable adults. Any appointment will be made subject to strict vetting and screening checks and our receipt of a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
